Welcome to DNSLab.This is the main web page of DNS Laboratory (Distributed Networks and Systems) at Chonnam National University. The main research topics include peer-to-peer systems, social networking systems, content distribution networks, GRID/Cloud systems, Software Defined Networks and delay tolerant networks. Currently, DNSLab looks for a couple of diligent and motivated students interested in researching distributed networks and systems. Check out the Research tab for past and recent works. |
RECENT NEWS
- 2017.04.28 : DNSLab members attended the KIPS Spring Conference and presented 2 papers. During the conference, a Ph.D student, Van-Quyet Nguyen, received an excellent paper award.
- 2016.07.04 : 2 undergraduate students of DNSlab attend ‘KOREN Open Collaboration Meeting’ at GIST, Gwangju. They had seminar about SmartX Playgrounds/Labs and KOREN Open Collaboration.
- 2016.06.03 : 3 undergraduate students of DNSlab attend ‘K-ICT NET Challenge Camp Season 3’ at COEX, Seoul. They had seminar about KOREN research, development trend and excellent cases introduction of last Season.
- 2016.02.17 : 2 graduate students of DNSlab attend a shorterm intership at Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems, Waseda University, Japan. They joined in seminars and presented the research issues in Software Defined Networking and Big data processing.
- 2015.11.18 : Visiting Open Networking Korea 2015, The-K Hotel in Seoul. During this visit, 4 undergraduate students(Seunguk Kim, Yungee Lee, Youngha Kim, Minwoo Kim), stayed for 2 days at Seoul and had seminar about SDN/NFV and development of open source Software Defined Infrastructure
- 2015.02.12 : Visiting Distributed Middleware and Systems Group, University of California Irvine. During this visit, a master student, Sungmin Hwang, stayed for three weeks at UCI and conducted collaborated research about Social Messaging Diffusion under disaster situations.
- 2014.11.08 : 2014 DNSLab fall Membership Training at Busan. During this Membership Training, DNSLab members attend KIPS fall conference and presented 4 papers.
- 2014.09.27 : Lab Tour. DNSLab provided a lab tour for high school students. During this event, graduate students of DNSLab present the research issues such as Software Defined Networking, Social Messaging Diffusion and Open Road Simulator.
- 2014.07.30 : Visiting Paris for attending conferences (ICIW 2014 and INFOCOMP 2014) and presenting papers.
- 2014.May.23 : NRF Grant. DNSLab recently received a grant from the National Research Foundataion of Korea to lead a research project on "Personalized warning notification system based on geosocial big data".
- 2013.Nov.30 : The paper "Peer-to-Peer Approach for Eduroam" is presented on 2013 KISM Fall conference.
